Hyde Leadership's football team won the Capital Area Football Conference Championship on November 9, with a 33-0 win over Massanutten Military Academy! This is a tremendous first-time accomplishment for our team The League, which includes private and public charter schools from Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia, awarded Hyde the "The President's Cup."
"Despite sloppy conditions and having to play without a few key people, the Hyde team put in a great effort to finish out the season," said Tal Bayer, Hyde's Athletic Director. "The entire season was remarkable. We won more games this season than the last three seasons combined. We may have struggled with our non-league opponents, but we learned from those games and improved steadily as the season progressed."
Earlier in the month, Hyde won the League's Regular Season Conference Championship. The team finished 7-4 overall and 5-0 in League play. Hyde's football players outscored League opponents 111-28!
