The Family Teacher Resource Center has scheduled three Family Weekends for the 2808/09 School Year

  • Nov. 8 and 9
  • Feb. 20 and 21
  • May 15 and 16

Students and their parents or guardians, as well as teachers, staff and their families, attend the weekends together and participate in Action/Reflection Activities based on the Hyde words and principles.  Parent Weekends begin on Friday evening and finish on Saturday afternoon.

"The goal of Hyde school is for each person to go after their unique potential.  Unique potential is not a job or a career, but it is discovering who you are and what you can best bring to this world.  Hyde believes if parents are not challenging themselves and are not receiving support from their peers and community to go after their unique potential, it is unlikely their children will do the same.  It is not impossible, but unlikely.

So, Family Weekend is a time for parents and students to express their true selves, be challenged by the facilitator and those in the group, while also receiving support and respect from the group.  If someone in seminar expresses something that you have felt or experienced, you may have the courage to share and take a step in your life.”
